Trends from the Sweets and Snacks Expo 2019

At this year’s show, premiumization was a key trend, with ingredients, packaging and channels all playing a crucial role in premium sweets and snacks. Functionality was also a trend at the show, with products on display that included probiotics, caffeine, collagen and aloe vera. Finally, the push towards real fruit and vegetable snacks was featured prominently, with products seen ranging from dehydrated fruit to mushroom jerky.
