Preocupaciones por la salud del consumidor colombiano llevan a mayores ventas de vitaminas y suplementos alimenticios
En una encuesta nacional que se hizo a los consumidores colombianos en 2010 se reveló que los colombianos tienen malos hábitos nutricionales. Para cambiar estos hábitos, en el país han estado saliendo al aire anuncios de televisión, campañas de internet y se ha estado publicando información acerca de temas relacionados con la salud en periódicos y revistas. Una manera importante en que los consumidores en Colombia están enfrentando este tema es con un mayor consumo de vitaminas y suplementos. Mientras que una rutina diaria de ejercicios o un cambio en la dieta puede ser una tarea muy difícil de lograr, tomar un suplemento al día es un ajuste mucho más factible y justamente esta práctica es responsable de que el mercado de vitaminas y suplementos haya visto ventas por sobre los Col$587 mil millones en 2013.
