The fashion in Chile has evolved in recent years. Large department stores like Falabella and Paris have created clothing collections with a high-fashion orientation, and Zara has almost tripled its sales in Chile since 2006. H&M (Hennes and Mauritz) will open operations in the country in early 2013, and Euromonitor predicts that its main competitor in Chile will not be Zara, as is typical in other countries, but large department stores.
