The Global Wine Market in the Context of Western Europe

 

Spiros Malandrakis, Alcoholic Drinks Industry Analyst at Euromonitor, discusses how Western Europe is an important region for the global wine market. Wine sales there account for about one fourth of the total global sales. Although spending is down and unemployment rates are up in Western Europe, per capita consumption is much higher than the global total. This growth, however, is forecasted to cease in the coming years, but opportunities still exist in this major wine markets.
