Minute Maid Pulpy has been a success since its 2004 release in China. Richard Haffner, global head of beverages research at Euromonitor, states that other companies are looking to expand on the pulpy concept and bring it to countries outside of China. Coca-Cola’s Cappy brand was rebranded with fruit bits and released in Egypt. Haffner states that manufactures should be looking for ways to compete with 100% juice drinks in tropical countries with the pulpy concept.
