China has been a strong source of personal accessories sales in 2012, with companies such as Burberry and Swatch Group reporting strong sales growth in the country. However, these sales are mainly the result of new retail locations. According to Gek Tan, Personal Accessories and Eyewear Research Analyst at Euromonitor, personal accessories sales in China are expected to reach 20% by the end of 2012 but are projected to drop to 15% in 2013.
