Indonesia’s Shift Towards Coal will not Threaten Oil
Indonesia is set to shift all of its oil power plants to coal power plants, according to a recent announcement by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the country. Euromonitor predicts that the shift will positively impact the coal industry in Indonesia, but will not threaten the oil industry. The demand for crude oil is being driven by the growing transportation industry in the country; with air transport being the largest growth sector.
