Due to the popularity of celebrity chefs and cooking shows, Australians are more interested in fresh food than ever before. Consumers will be looking for fresh, local and responsibly-sourced ingredients for their holiday cooking. Alcoholic drinks see more sales around the holidays, and Australian consumers will be buying celebratory drinks such as champagne and brandy. In retailing, Australians have access to wide variety of international retailers such as Sephora and H&M. Finally, toys and games sales will be dominated by Star Wars, which is set to release just before gift-giving begins.
