Toys and games sales reached US$ 155 billion globally in 2012 and sales are expected to thrive into 2017. China became the second largest market for traditional toys and games in 2012, and will lead the charge as Asia Pacific overtakes North America as the largest region for toys and games sales by 2017. Utku Tansel, Global Head of Toys and Games Research at Euromonitor, discusses global and regional growth for toys and games and gives a forecast for the market.
