Summary: Commerce is slowly approaching a tipping point with respect to whether the mobile wallet could become a viable every day tool. More and more consumers are being introduced to the concept for the first time. In addition, many companies are beginning to make their very first mobile-related investments. This presentation will explore the five most impactful trends impacting mobile commerce today.

• The arrival of smartphones to the masses has ushered in a new hyper connected consumer, leaving numerous companies scrambling to develop long-term digital strategies that will enable them to compete in this new era. We will discuss what companies need to do in order to remain competitive in this new digital era.

• Tablets are the natural transition from the desktop and/or laptop commerce experience to the on-to-go shopping or payment experience that may eventually unfold on those smaller screens. We will explore why this tablet trend has been so prominent among developed market consumers.
