Largest Non-Store Retailing Channel in Homewares


Homewares has traditionally been one of the most popular products to be sold by direct selling companies. Despite the rise of internet retailing in other categories, direct selling remains the largest non-store channel in 2011. Unlike other products, such as beauty, direct selling of homewares is popular not only in emerging but also developed countries; in the US, for example, it accounted for 7% of total value sales in 2011.
