As health and wellness can no longer be considered a self-contained, discrete trend in FMCG markets, there is a parallel between the overall health and wellness trend and the antioxidant micro trend within it. Just as health and wellness-positioned products are found in every category, antioxidants are present in virtually all foodstuffs, but to varying degrees. There are a myriad of different compounds which act as antioxidants in the human body, including vitamins C and E, polyphenols (such as catechins) and co-enzyme Q10.
Ewa Hudson, Global Head of Health and Wellness at Euromonitor International, discusses this trend in her presentation. In addition, she will gauge the market development of antioxidants by taking a look at prominent antioxidant-rich products. In particular, it analyses the regional performance of superfruit juice, cranberries/blueberries, 100% juice, green tea and RTD green tea and assesses the future development direction of this trend as well as the innovation drivers.
Ewa’s presentation will take place Thursday, June 21. In addition, Euromonitor representatives will be located at stand 6.
