Session description: Over the past 5 years, tourism grew to become an important economic factor across sub-Saharan Africa, with more governments betting on improved socio-economic conditions, regional integration, promotional campaigns and diversification to stimulate revenue from the sector. The trend also gave room for infrastructure development, as transportation played a key role for sustainable growth.
