The Sweets & Snacks Expo’s Sweet Insights: Unwrapped webinar series has been expanded to include even more timely category insights to help NCA members and the Sweets & Snacks Expo community stay engaged and informed while the COVID-19 pandemic prevents in-person industry events. With more marketing, consumer and shopper insights than ever before, this year’s Sweet Insights: Unwrapped webinar series will continue throughout the summer to provide retailers and manufacturers the information they need to grow and continue to thrive during COVID-19 and beyond.
Session title: The Evolution of Eating Occasions in Today’s Environment
Session description: COVID-19 has significantly disrupted eating habits, food purchasing patterns and mealtimes. Snacking has shifted from “anytime, anywhere” to a sole location: at home. Foodservice operators have become reliant on takeaway and delivery sales, and the retail sales of all packaged food, including snacks, have surged as consumers stockpile their pantries and transition all eating occasions into the home. As consumers cope with uncertainty and demand more convenient food solutions, mealtimes will continue becoming more flexible, sparking increased interest in quick packaged food, snacking options and food delivery innovation.
