Semana Internacional do Café
Semana Internacional do Café (SIC) is a gathering of coffee farmers, roasters, sorters, exporters, buyers, suppliers, entrepreneurs, baristas, coffee shop customers and connoisseurs.
The event takes place in the capital of Brazil’s largest producing state – Belo Horizonte – and presents several actions to thousands of professionals worldwide focused on the areas of Market and Consumption, Knowledge and Innovation and Business and Entrepreneurship.
Session title: Omnipresent Coffee – What is Brazil’s role in the world context of the coffee market?
Session description: Unquestionably, Brazil occupies global leadership positions as both producer and exporter of coffee. Our position as a consumer market, however, still raises several questions: not because of the lack of interest of the Brazilian consumer, but because of the cultural strength of some types of coffee over others – which grow globally, but find resistance in the local market, as the ready to drink format. In this presentation, Euromonitor International brings the main figures of the Brazilian market, placing local consumption in a global context and indicating the main opportunities for product growth in the next 5 years.
Session date and time: Wednesday, 20 November 3:15pm BRT
