Within the framework of the Russia’s only exhibition of equipment for the production of milk and dairy products DairyTech, a special event for professionals in cheese making will be held – Cheese Session on January 28, 2021 (beginning at 10:30). Participants of the event will discuss the issues of current global and local trends in the cheese market, the impact of the coronavirus on the market and its players, the preferences of Russians in buying packaged cheese or cheese through the counter, evaluating raw milk of various types for cheese production, building a cheese factory, phage biocontrol and enhancement food safety through phages.

Session description: In this presentation, Euromonitor International will discuss the main trends on the cheese market. The global cheese market has been showing steady growth since 2016, with the coronavirus having a more significant impact on the market structure than on its overall performance. The regions of Western Europe and North America are the main consumers of cheese; though, in the next five years, the emerging markets of the Asia-Pacific region, Central Asia and Africa will demonstrate the highest growth rates. This presentation aims to give further insights on drivers of the industry and reaction to the COVID.
