Euromonitor celebrates its first ever Community Week!

This January Euromonitor International celebrated its first ever Community Week. The week, which was run in all of our global offices, aimed to re-engage staff in the Community aspects of our CSR programme including volunteering, charitable giving, and fundraising. As well as reminding staff of some of our key policies, including our 2 volunteer days and our generous matched giving scheme, the week was a great way to engage with some of our local and global charity partners.

In a number of offices charity partner fairs and talks were hosted – allowing staff to engage directly with some of our fantastic charities including The BIG Alliance (London), Total Residential Educational Programme (Bangalore), The REST (Chicago) and Silver Line (Vilnius, Pictured).  Lots of volunteering initiatives also look place, including a global MapSwipe initiative which raised over £400 for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), with Missing Maps parties also taking place in London and Vilnius. We were also very honoured to be able to welcome speakers from MSF to a number of our global offices including Dubai, Sydney, and Hong Kong/Shanghai, who inspired us with the amazing work that they are doing in the field.

In London one of the highlights of the week was a performance from our regional partners, Just Older Youth (JOY), who brought their choir along to sing during a lunchtime.

Jane Keane, JOY’s director, commented; “The singers were buzzing! They loved it and also loved chatting to the Euromonitor staff afterwards.”

Some offices took the opportunity to do some fundraising during the week. In Tokyo staff donated 8 boxes of clothes and useful items for regional partners, Japan Association for Refugees. Meanwhile in Cape Town there was some fundraising with their “Pie Day”.

The week was well received by Euromonitor staff, one of who commented; “I am grateful for your work and proud to work for the company that supports different organisations and initiatives.”

A big thank you to all of our fantastic charity partners who helped make the week a reality.
