Euromonitor Announces New Charity Partnership with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF)

Euromonitor is pleased to announce that Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), has been chosen as a Headline Partner in our latest round of charity nominations.

Founded in 1971, MSF is an international medical humanitarian organisation, supporting people affected by conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation and since its foundation has supported more than 100 million people. Each year more than 2,500 international staff join 30,000 locally hired staff to provide medical aid in over 70 countries worldwide. Medics carry out over nine million consultations a year and programmes run from basic vaccination campaigns to complex surgery. Teams operate feeding centres, fight epidemics and treat neglected diseases like sleeping sickness and tuberculosis.

Our donation to MSF will provide vital unrestricted funding, meaning that they will be able to allocate funds to the greatest areas of need as-and-when situations arise. Sarah Hunter, CSR Director, comments: “We are delighted and humbled to be supporting MSF’s efforts this year and look forward to hearing how our donation is used to support their vital and life-changing programmes around the world.”

“We would like to thank Euromonitor International for your generous support of MSF. Gifts such as these enable us to provide life-saving care to people affected by crisis and preserve our ability to act independently, reaching places where others can’t go. From treating victims of violence in Iraq to cholera patients in Yemen, our supporters enable us to help those caught up in crises. On behalf of our patients and everyone here at MSF, thank you for your support.” Vickie Hawkins, Executive Director, MSF UK.

MSF are being supported amongst Euromonitor’s other Headline Partners, who this year include: Just a Drop, Karam Foundation, Unity in Health, Walkabout Foundation, and another partner to be communicated later this month.

Our partnership with MSF enables us to work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, part of our commitment as signatories to the United Nations Global Compact.
