Whilst 2016 will not be a stellar year for the global economy, after a rocky start, we should see its pace of growth accelerate somewhat. In the developed world we expect to see a continued strengthening of major economies including the USA, UK and Germany. Latin America will be the worst-performing emerging market region. In 2016, with urban areas home to 4 billion of the world’s inhabitants, cities will continue to be the engines of growth of the global economy.
