We are delighted to be supporting a project in Ethiopia to train 50 new families to keep beehives. These families own no land and have no other means of earning a living.

Jaya Mental Health

Jaya Mental Health is a charity that improves mental health in South Asia by delivering crucial training to nurses, healthcare workers and volunteers. Many communities in South Asia have no mental health support, local nurses and healthcare workers receive no mental health training, levels of suicide are high and the abuse of people with mental illness is commonplace. The mental health services and training provided by Jaya has a huge long-term impact of empowering and equipping local healthcare workers to provide mental health support to their communities. Euromonitor is contributing to the core costs of the organisation enabling them to employ, for the first time, a full-time CEO and part-time fundraiser.

The programme includes the distribution of wheelchairs, training local partners in community based rehabilitation programmes and a community leadership training programme.
