Retail sales of packaged food is expected to grow by just under 2 percent in 2017, which is in line with growth seen in the last five years. Asia Pacific and the Middle East and Africa are driving growth in Packaged Food sales, where North America and Western Europe are seeing a stagnation in sales. In terms of company sales, dairy and savoury snacks have outperformed companies present in sweet snacks and confectionery.
