Leading food and beverage players are joining forces with governments, international organisations and NGO’s in an effort to adequately develop sustainable and responsible sourcing strategies, while also taking into consideration contending social and ethical values. As such, retail sales of packaged food and beverages with at least one ethical label reached US$794 billion across 26 key markets in 2015.
