Bottled water and premium cold-pressed juice have been the best performers in the global soft drinks industry. Consumers are drinking more water as they seek to reduce sugar consumption, with global bottled water retail volume sales growing by 6% in 2015. Cold-pressed juice sales have grown strongly in many markets despite its high cost. Euromonitor International’s Senior Beverages Analyst Virginia Lee recently attended the International Home + Housewares Show and found that manufacturers of beverageware and juice extractors are seeking to capitalise on the demand for healthy hydration and cold-press juices by offering fashionable and functional water bottles and cold press juicers.
