Sweet and savory snacks consumption is generally low in the Czech Republic when compared by Western European standards, therefore, there is potential for growth for this category in the country. Even if snacks remain high in fat, calories and salt, they might be conceived as healthy or better-for-you products due to a higher quality procedure or ingredients. So an improved quality as well as a strategy of marketing healthier, better-for-you credentials could grow the category. There is also a potential to launch new and exotic snack flavors as more consumers in the Czech Republic are travelling and acquiring new tastes. Lastly, smaller, functional pack sizes can be introduced in the country as consumers there are looking for easier, faster ways to feed themselves and their families.
