Ultra High-Definition TVs were the big story at the Consumer Electronics Show this year, with manufactures from Samsung to LG showcasing Ultra HD TVs. Wee Teck Loo, Global Head of Consumer Electronics at Euromonitor, states that while popular at the show, Ultra HD TVs are still too expensive for mass adoption. Loo states that CES 2013 was quiet this year; with no format wars to encourage competition between manufacturers, many products showcased were improvements on existing technology.
