    Coca-Cola released two commercials targeting recent claims linking soda consumption to obesity. The first is a serious, two minute spot highlighting Coke’s efforts to create low and no calorie versions of their drinks. The second is a light-hearted, thirty second commercial giving examples of how a person might burn off the 140 calories in a can of regular Coke. Criticisms aside, Coke is not only acknowledging consumers’ concern about the link between soda and weight gain, but also giving lawmakers and lobbyists a subtle message in the wake of the New York City soda restriction.
