The Importance of Russia and the CIS for Hot Drinks Consumption

Russia and other members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) are some of the most important hot drinks markets in the world. Historically high levels of standard black tea consumption are being disrupted as rising incomes, health and wellness trends, and the desire to try new things combine to boost alternative forms of hot drinks. With regional economies emerging from recession and a post-Soviet baby boom reaching adulthood, the next few years will be a critical time for the hot drinks market of this key region.
