Presentation Title: Key Global and Regional Trends Shaping Toys

Presentation Description:  Construction, once again, has been the star of the industry stimulating toys sales thanks largely to the continued success of LEGO capitalising on The LEGO Movie as well as the Star Wars phenomenon. In relation to licensing, which is a key parameter for toys sales globally, half of the top 10 most heavily licensed toys markets are in Asia Pacific, while the US is the world’s largest. Income growth, increased media consumption, nostalgic and local licensed brands, and increased product diversity are all helping to drive licensing upward. Amid new releases following Frozen, Minions, Zootopia and The Secret Life of Pets all have the potential to be game-changing new properties.
