Increase in Consumption of Plant-Based Food and Beverages

There is an increase in consumption of plant-based food and beverages among consumers as they are often perceived as more natural, sustainable and healthy. Some consumers, suspicious of antibiotics and hormones, are either reducing or stopping meat consumption altogether. Health, wellness, taste, nutrition, ethical sourcing and sustainability will be the main focus of food and beverage development in the future.
