Global Manufacturers look to Frontier Markets

A key trend in global manufacturing is a shift towards low-cost frontier markets, such as Myanmar and Ethiopia. Although shifting towards emerging markets is not a new venture for global manufacturers, markets such as China are no longer as cost saving as they once were due to rising labour costs. Frontier markets, however, are aiming to boost their manufacturing sectors in order to raise living wages.
