Dishwasher Detergent Should Focus on Innovation

Dishwashing detergent manufacturers are working hard convincing consumers to buy into premium products. According to Ian Bell, Global Head of Home Care Research at Euromonitor, consumers tend not to think about dishwashers as an appliance that needs much attention. Therefore they buy low to mid-priced detergent. Detergent tablets such as Finish, with a focus on clean glassware, are a hit in Western Europe but failed to take off in North America. Now, with an imposed Phosphate ban, detergent producers have to work even harder to please consumers.
