The Impact of the Olympics on Apparel

Sportswear will see positive growth due to the Olympics in 2012, explains Magdalena Kondej, head of apparel research at Euromonitor. Adidas secured official sponsorship of the 2012 Olympics, and will dress Olympic volunteers and workers. Adidas currently sits in the number two spot in sportswear in the UK, and are looking at their Olympic participation as a way to compete with the number one brand, Nike.
