GD Midea Holding Co LTD Ranked No. 2 Globally in Consumer Appliances

SampleSlide

Midea is ranked second globally in consumer appliances despite its very modest presence outside China. Despite stiff competition from its close competitor, Haier, it has built a sound foundation in the domestic market. However, as this market slows following the end of government subsidies, Midea must deploy capital to expand into other markets, or risk becoming a one-market player. It has begun to make some moves in this direction with joint ventures in air treatment in India and South America.
