Organic Food and Beverages Faring Well

Despite the economic downturn, organic food and beverages have fared quite well over the past five years. Diana Cowland, health and wellness research analyst at Euromonitor, explains why organic products have performed so well and the specific products that contributed to growth of these products. For instance, organic dairy sales fell in the past five years due to Dean Foods repositioning its Silk brand soy milk from organic to non-organic. One organic category that has succeeded is organic baby food; as parents are willing to spend more on their children's well-being.
